Chinatown

Unexpected family outing yesterday, as in an impromptu one. Because its like everyone nothing to do, why not go Chinatown? Haha, weird place to go for Christmas but sure it was nostalgic.

Went to the Hawker Center for lunch. Ate lots of oily stuff, but they were nice. For some reason feeling kinda guilty, also have not been to the gym so far this week. All I did for exercise this week is run 2.4km with Ben. That's all. :(

Next we went to OG! My previous workplace at level 4 (My mum's too). When I reached level 4, I saw lots of familiar faces and a lot new faces, mostly O-level result wait-ers. Some of my friends were not working anymore, Cecilia and Jazz. But the rest!!! They still recognized me, and we talked for a while. :) Especially Jia Li and Xiao Jun, talked witht hem the longest. haha. Most of them said I've changed as in physcially, said I've grown bulkier. And as always, ask me if got girlfriend. And the same reply goes :) 那里有!?
Then the dreaded :P manager, Annie Tung came out. OMG did not know she is such good friends with my mum. My mum went to talk with her, and I had no choice but to say hi. She asked me to come back to OG to work, haha I was a good emplyee back then. :) Have to consider. BUT Xiao Jun and Jia Li welcomed me back to work, this definitely, I enjoyed working with them. :D
Oh btw, Xiao Jun added me on FB. haha.

After OG we went to Raffles City Robinsons to get my 2nd sister's bedsheets. Well the weird thing is we are all dressed for Chinatown, definitly not for town. HAHA. Yi'en was even holding the long umbrella, super uncle! XD Haha anyways, we went there and got what we wanted.

Went back to Chinatown for the famous porridge. I ordered the Century Egg one. Whoa, super nice! With some side dished too. I ate there a few times when I was young, the taste seems to be the same everytime, an everytime its that good. Oh did I mention that I officially my family's leftover eater? lol. Evertime anything cannot finish throw to me and I'll happily gulp it down. Now I'm starting to hate this post. :P

Went to my sister's 99.9999% completed house. SO WHITE!!! Hmm but have to say, really have the condo look. Can easily say 10 times nicer than my house, but 10 times smaller than my house. Hmm, my house, mine, argh sooner or later. :) haha. And I played with the lock, I'm sooo getting one next time.
There it is:

Oh and although the fridge is empty, its stocked well with drinks! Its a mini "beer closet" (from the advertisement, just that I did not scream).

Feeling tired already, we all headed home. On the way to the car we stole some bubbletea. :P And I dranked it at home. Then I thought, wow today ate how much ar? Thinking I must really go run to get rid of all the excess calories. omg. This sounds like someone already la. haha. OK but tomorrow is really GYM day! Just now actually want go but the rain had to make me sleep, damn you rain.

Oh and from tuesday, I did not do much homework. Guilty about this too. But anyway, I've cleaned up my room and added more storage space by stealing my sister's table, using it right now. :) And sun-bian elped her clean her room. Damn messy. Even can find underwear in the mountain on her table. -.- Nightmare, I spent more time at her table then mine. And my room is 10 times neater than hers, A GUY'S ROOM IS NEATER THAN A GIRL'S ROOM
Well, did this as a Christmas present for her. :) She bought me bermudas anyway. Come on, I have no money~ (usual excuse, but a valid one)

OK! So I guess thats all for today. Have to rush down to Fabian's house now for dinner. :D Is it even considered Christmas now? hmm...

Christmas.

HOHOHO. Tomorrow's Christmas Day. Well, I guess it will just be a ordinary Friday for me, doing homework and maybe going for a run (and also maybe going to Fabian's house for dinner). Maybe its because my family is Buddhist and aren't great fans of Christmas or is that we are just plain lazy. I'm used to this for many years now, saying Merry Christmas to everyone else but know that I'm not going to enjoy it myself. Oh well, talk about the spirit of giving.
so here goes: Merry Christmas to all of you reading this!!! (in advance)

But oh well, besides Christmas there are many things to celebrate. My 2nd Sister's Birthday is coming up right after Christmas, then on Sunday its my mum's Birthday. Then we will be seeing my 2nd sister's completed house, or rather "condo". And soon it will be a new year. (:

But don't know why I'm not feeling what I'm supposed to feel right now. Maybe I'm just reluctant to see 2009 fade away as I've enjoyed it. Or maybe its just the feeling of being lovesick. Oh, I don't know. It just seems I'm missing something or someone. But then again I can't wait for 2010 to come. More challenges to face, more objectives to achieve. I just hope I have the courage to do it. Oh and come to think of it, its time to draw up a new year's resolution and prepare that last post of 2009. :)

movies galore

Went to catch Avatar today with Ben at J8 GV. Watching it with him is cool, but the special effects was WAAAY cooler, especially in 3D. All I can say its a $10 well spent.
We went in to the 3D theater, by the way its my first time, and put on the bulky 3D glasses. Apparently it costs $85 if you break it. So I was damn careful with it and to make matters worse my spectacles was in the way of the 3D glasses. Now I'm wishing I wore contacts.

OK back to the movie. Starting the 20th Century Fox video. The words were OUT OF THE SCREEN. OMG is my reaction. (ok it's really freaking cool)
Then the movie starts off with this guy Jakesilly. blablabla. Don't want to be the spoiler here. :)
If you want to know the story, catch the movie, its worth it. If you watched it already, watch it again, in 3D.
Given 5 stars, I would rate it 4, just for the 3D effects. Seriously, dusts, fire, flowers, creatures were right in my face man. haha, ok maybe I should stop talking about how cool 3D really is. :P

Just last Friday went to catch a midnight movie, Bodyguards and Assassins. Overall, a decent chinese movie, shows us about the period when China is being revolutionized. To bad so many people had to die just for a 1 hour meeting. :( Oh and its a true story.

Whooo. So I guess thats all for movies this holidays. Finally have some time to watch some movies. :) The fews days I've been enjoying myself, either going out or at home killing questions, Maths in particular.

Oh and Ben will be staying in my house till Thursday. Then it will be Christmas. Then I'll be collecting my $400. (Oh and I found out that this sum of money is considered for lower income families -.-) Then it will be the new year. New term and the pink elephant in the room: the big A's. Well, for now I shall play squash tomorrow. :D

pictures!

Been looking through my gigabytes of pictures yesterday, this is what happens when you don't clean up your computer.
Really does bring back some memories, I even laughed like an idiot at some photos (which I can't post online). For some pictures, I smiled. So I though I shared some of them here. Some of them are super random.

Macritchie.

Today went to Macritchie reservoir for a jog with Josy and her friend, Natalie.
Woke up in the morning raining cats and dogs, with barking too. (thunder) What a wet blanket man this weather.
Took bus to Macritchie and ended up everyone late. XD Natalie was the latest so while waiting we went to see beyond the Macritchie dam. Man its nice, guess all the previous times I was there I did not really take in the sights, was to bothered with running I guess. Think I'm going to add 1 more favorite place for jogging already. :)

Finally Nat came and we went to stuff the lockers, literally. My bag was about 2 times the size of the locker la. Had to take out my slippers and roll my bag into a "popiah" then still have to push the locker door to lock it. -.- Girls had the same problem as they shared lockers. -.- AUNTIES!! (lol, it was my idea :P)

Then went on to jog in the forest. Nat supposed to run but we kinda made her jog. :P Felt bad. But ok la, since jogging = lesser mud on legs. Quite muddy in the forest after that heavy rain. OH and the stare-at-nothing and people-follow trick never fails me. XD Both of them fell for it la. haha.

So after jogging we decided to go to Island Creamery. Did not know that place initially, first time there. Josy said it was walking distance away, then we took bus, ended up it was a few kilometers far la, had to go along expressway some more. Haha but it was this (lousy) sense of direction which saved us when going to Thompson Plaza. Had some delicious ice-cream and "food-disorder" talk at Island Creamery. Then took a picture at the shop, apparently the shop offers free photo printing services. So yeah. Josy even printed 2 copies, accidentally. XD

Here it is. So after that yeah we went to Thompson Plaza for a walk. Walk and walked, just to look around (the LEGO crane is still damn cool!) and smelled the food. :)

So yeah, that concludes my day. Very tiring but fun. :) Oh and it was nice knowing Natalie too! Kinda funny she got banned from shopping. XD

Later still going for midnight movie!!! Damn, tomorrow becoming panda already.

41 WOOHOO 42 ARGH 43 *leaves table*

As I promised, here are the pictures from my visit to my 2nd sister's house which is still under renovation. AND YES. They are real, not some pictures from Hilton. :)

Too bad I did not get to see the "super cool" main door (above) lock being installed. The main door will have many security features. PIN combination, magnetic key, conventional key, speech recognition, fingerprint recognition, eye scan, buttock scan, a chip of your hair and a drop of your saliva for DNA testing. Thats how "secure" that lock is. :P (only 1st 3 are true)

Today did some Maths. ALL don't know how to do except for 1 question. When that question finished I was damn happy. Drew "WOOHOO~" on the paper and smiley faces aplenty. Stupid integration. Learning Integration Is A Tough Experience indeed.

Went on to YCK sports complex to play Squash with Jie Fu. Nice game, we played 3 sets in total. Quite shag for him, guess I'm used to it already ba. After that went to MacDonald to eat. -.-
Tomorrow squash training should be canceled. (one reason why I'm looking forward to tomorrow (: ) SO LITTLE PEOPLE going. -.- Very tired of chasing them already. :(

Thats all folks. Tomorrow I shall run.

10 cents.

Today was supposed to be my study day. But what the heck.
Mom bought newspapers for me and for my GP assignment. Read it, NO INTERESTING NEWS!! So I decided to move on to Maths. Man I hate the last few questions of CA3.2. Done 2 questions from there for the whole day. :(

Went to West Mall @ Bukit Batok to have lunch with second sis and mum. Mom was baking her strawberry cake halfway, ended up being "chao ta". XD We took the MRT there and I saw how bad Singaporeans can really be. OK, lets not talk about this, all I got was a 10 cents. (:

Had lunch at the food court. Then went to buy some household items for my sis. Her house going to be ready real soon! She went in to Aussino to get some bathe towels. Saw that 50% discount and bought A LOT. Then buy already, saw another cheaper one, go change ALL the towels. AUNTY NOT?? LOLS. haha. Ended up with 10 towels. -.-
Went on to take bus to her going-to-be-ready house. On the way I emptied my wallet, just for some good, or rather the spirit of Christmas. Went in her house. WOO~ BIG change from the sorry state the last time I visited. Glass doors, false ceilings, BIG cabinets, nice lighting and flooring. Like condo man. Pictures some other day put. The only downside is that the apartment is really small.

That should be all for today's outing. This morning I went back to watch Wedding Dress by Taeyang (the video). And now I'm kinda liking this song already, though the video is quite sad. Literally. In some weird way, I think I'm kinda like him in that video. Yeah the handsome and dancing part. lol.
And I've officially put on a Christmas suit for my blog. Added a few Christmas songs to get in the mood. And the freaking snow took me a very long time to get it to work. My HTML going rusty already. So its 9 more days to Christmas. A day where I usually stay at home and not celebrate. Been like this since I was around 10 when there were still a Christmas tree in my house, hope that this year will be different. :)
